Systemic Structural Constellations for Personal & Job Issues
Gerolf Bender Ph.D. Feb. 29 - 2 March 2008

Can you imagine that the problems and complications in your life, whether professional or personal are actually opportunities? That they offer us a better understanding of ourselves and the chance to complete unfinished business or to change direction; that they encourage us to find our own personal themes giving meaning to our lives and to tap the necessary resources lying hidden within us?
Problems may be personal or professional, conflicts within the family, with colleagues or in personal relationships. There are problems at school, fears and anxieties, depression, mobbing situations, mourning, loss, difficult decisions to be made, mental or physical illness. These are just some of the challenges we may meet during our lifetime.

With the help of Systemic Structural Constellations SSC you will become aware of the dynamics of your situation and also of a natural path toward a solution.
SSC also enable us to reassess, clarify and adjust our personal value and belief systems and unconscious motivations; to improve project and teamwork; and much more.

SSC is an exceptionally effective and universal approach to such situations.
With SSC we set up a particular problem in a visible form by arranging people in space to represent the various aspects and possible influences, along with the network of their relationships. From this vantage point we are able to view the situation objectively and to observe how the initial situation is transformed and resolved step by step.
We, along with the others involved are thus able to find our optimal position in the new constellation.
Ultimately, as we take our place in the resolved constellation, our experience is on emotional, physical and sensory levels, thus facilitating the internalisation of the new situation.
We learn from our experience that a solution can indeed be found. We discover our own hidden resources, new energy is released and the impression left by the resolved constellation provides an impulse reaching far into the future.
A session of SSC lasting 1.5 or 2 hours is often enough to set in motion a process that will develop over the following months.
SSC is an enriching and often moving experience shared within a group. We select our representatives from the group and we, in turn are available as representatives in their constellations.
Whether active or passive, most participants gain valuable insights and impulses from the experience.
You may regard this process as a kind of simulation: It‘s as if you attempt a step into an aspired future, clean up the inner and relationship issues that stand in the way and are stirred up by this step, get in touch with the resources that may help, and find a constellation in which taking this step becomes possible.

Some of the particularly helpful features of SSC
Our procedure is solution focused. It is an effective learning process providing us with enough space, encouragement and insight to strengthen our autonomy.
The process is experienced as natural and unthreatening.
The solution focused initial interview helps to define our central theme in the matter at hand. This ensures that our own interests are and remain of central importance.
This interview also serves to integrate the process in our daily life.
The endless possibilities of SSC enable us to offer a tailor made structure for each individual issue.
We take into account all relevant context, as well as regressed parts of the personality which may surface.
A SSC is never abandoned as this could have severe negative consequences. All processes are worked through and brought to a conclusion.
