‘Yoga with Awareness’ with Ken Eyerman

 A Spring Bank Holiday Retreat: 1 - 4 June 2012

Ken Eyerman logoJoin Ken Eyerman for this special Spring retreat and experience the benefits of working intensively with an intuitive master.

Ken EyermanKen Eyerman has more than 35 years experience with Yoga & Bodywork, is a trained practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method© and is author of 'Massage' published in 1987. An American based in London since 1980, Ken has developed his own style of teaching, bridging the space between the dynamic power of Astanga Yoga and the gentle understated, spiralling Feldenkrais movements. Ken teaches his unique ‘Yoga with Awareness’ holidays internationally.

Ken has developed a fluid technique that taps into your individual needs, releases energy and works to heal injuries or chronic discomfort. Known as the Eyerman Technique, this workshop will introduce you to Ken’s unique take on movement based bodywork - utilising influences from Feldenkrais, Dance and Movement Therapy and Yoga.

Ken seeks to work with you, by developing core movement, and helping you tune into the constant flow of life energy essential to maintaining health and clarity of mind.

He will bring his wealth of learning to this retreat, a unique blend of dynamic flowing yoga with gentle inner sensing Feldenkrais movement awareness lessons. Ken's intuitive and spontaneous, hands-on approach places an emphasis on using the breath, an awareness of your inner process and how to use your body efficiently. This combination of approaches will ease you into the postures and classes are suitable for all levels of experience, including those who have injuries or are restricted in their movement.

As a previous participant states: ‘At first Ken's gentle style can be deceptive, but quickly you discover muscles and bones you never knew you had. You soon realise that this is deep, life changing work.’

The Ken Eyerman School of Bodywork & Movement is affiliated to The Institute of Contemporary Medicine.

A goal being to get into the imagination, to find a more subtle approach, to excite the feelings as well as to power the muscles.” Ken Eyerman
