Newbold House is a beautiful Victorian mansion in the north east of Scotland set in extensive organic gardens and surrounded by woods. It provides home to our resident community and our guests.
We invite you to come and join us to experience what sustainable living means at Newbold. Whether it be just for a few nights as a bed and breakfast guest, a longer stay on one of our programmes, or if you choose to hire us as a venue for your workshop or event, our community is always delighted to welcome new friends and old alike.

Newbold House is a Forres based education, workshop and retreat centre run by a small resident community. Our Mission is: “Developing, practicing and sharing skills for sustainable living, in harmony with ourselves, each other and the earth”. Based in a stunning Victorian mansion with 7 acres of gardens and surrounded by fantastic countryside, it’s the perfect place for nature lovers. Newbold House entered a new phase in October 2010 and is now thriving. We are looking for a member to join us in the homecare department as we get busier:
Homecare: Keeping the public and guest areas of the house beautiful, clean and welcoming. This includes making up guest rooms, setting up workshop rooms, keeping areas clean and tidy, and creating a warm welcoming atmosphere with floral arrangements etc.
